My family - The beginnings of pure happiness is derived from my
wife Kathy, my sons Tyler and Collin and my dog Sage. My family surrounds me
and heals me and enables me to get up when I fall down, which is often since
their love for me makes me unafraid to try new and difficult things
Opensource studio tools - The Linux and Opensource community enables quality tools to be available for experimentation and exploration at no cost though donations are always welcomed by those writing wares. I use Redhat Fedora as my Operating System. My primary studio tools are JACK, Ecasound, Sox and many critters I have created to manage my recordings. I am constantly trying new tools from the Opensource community that enhance my musical experience, both as artist and listener. I prefer the command line Becoming ambidextrous - The Mind is connected to the body and vice versa through neural messages, hormones in the blood and many other communication pathways. To enable symmetrical flow of bodily mechanics is to enable mental symmetry and vice versa Improvisation and its physiology - Improvisation is love making between musicians who listen and react in harmony with each other. Mental and physical symmetry enable reactions so quick that many believe it to be a 6th sense in action Free inquiry - I do not believe in the supernatural and believe everything has, or will have, a physical or biological explanation that can be reproduced via the scientific method Mathematical abstractions in music - Mathematics is black and white and we can all take comfort in that. All complexity can be abstracted to simplicity. The real question is do we have the tools to see it? I believe it is possible to model music on an individual level and randomly generate beautiful sounds. |
